Two cars, four cars, side by side..

Pick any two US-market vehicles and we pull the EPA fuel economy numbers, NHTSA safety ratings, recall counts, and complaint volumes. Side by side, in a single table. Add a third or fourth car if you are weighing more than two options. Free, sourced from US DOT and EPA data.

Where the data comes from

Two US government datasets: NHTSA's public API at api.nhtsa.gov for safety, recalls, complaints, and investigations; and EPA / DOE fueleconomy.gov for engine specs, MPG, and emissions. Both are free, both are updated by the agencies that publish them, and the same data drives the window stickers on new cars at the dealership.
